| So you carry a concealed pistol? If you didn't you probably wouldn't be here on this website looking at our products. So what happens if you ever need to use that pistol? In most cases you'd be limited to 6, 7, or maybe even 8 shots unless you carry a spare magazine. But carrying an extra magazine can be as much hassle as carrying a firearm. |
While we do offer a way to carry a spare magazine in your pocket (see our Magazine Pocket Protectors), what can be even more useful is one of our new Quick Clip Magazine Holsters. These are made from the same fine leather as our holsters, and also have a spring steel metal clip for attaching to your belt or pants.
Let's face it, carrying a pistol whether it's every day or once in a while can be a pain. Most of us opt for small pistols to make daily carry easier. The problem with small pistols is that they have small capacities. Carrying an extra magazine or two is a great way to add extra firepower but keep your overall carry package to a minimum.
This is only getting a 3 star review instead of 4 or 5 because it's not as comfortable as the Sneaky Pete Pistol Holster and the mag sticks when you pull it out. I carry a Glock 43 with the sneaky pete holster and it's amazing. The mag holder is only ok. It's discrete but the mag catches when drawing it and if you lean on it the clip digs in.
I bought this to use as either in my pocket or to clip to my belt if I felt the need to. In the pocket the clip is bulky and uncomfortable. A smoother and narrower clip would be nice just so picky people like me can pocket carry or belt clip my extra magazine. As a straight belt clip magazine holder it looks and feels fine. I bought this for a Glock 43 extra mag but it is basically a one size fits all sub-compact pistol magazine holder. If you plan on mostly carrying your extra mag in your pocket then get the mag holder without a clip.
